Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 – 1 cup shredded cheese of choice (mozzarella, cheddar, or your favorite)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown sliced sausage, then remove from pan and set aside.
2. In the same pan, add uncooked pasta and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook until pasta is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.
3. Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
4. Add sausage back to the pan and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
5. Serve warm.
