Ingredients:

• 1 egg
• 1 tbsp water
• 2 Mountain View Meats Queso Smoked Sausage links
• 2 sheets puff pastry
• 1/4 cup pizza sauce, plus more for dipping
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400˚F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper

2. Whisk the egg and water until smooth, set aside

3. Cut the sausage links into small pieces and set aside

4. Place a sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface

5. Brush pizza sauce over the top

6. Sprinkle evenly with mozzarella and sausage

7. Top with second sheet of puff pastry and press around edges to seal

8. Cut the pastry in half and then into short strips about 1 inch wide

9. Twist each strip and place on the prepared baking sheets

10. Brush each twist with egg wash and sprinkle with additional cheese and sausage

11. Bake 15-18 minutes, until puffed and golden

12. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping
