Baked Beans

A pan of baked beans using Mountain View hot links with a ladle

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices bacon, chopped into 1/2” pieces
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, chopped
  • 1 package Mountain View Meats Hot Links, sliced
  • 3 (16oz) cans pork and beans
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Fry the bacon in large, deep sauté pan
  3. Remove bacon from the pan and set aside
  4. Add onion, bell pepper and jalapeño to the bacon drippings and cook until soft
  5. Add sliced hot links and cook until browned
  6. Stir in the pork and beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, yellow mustard and cooked bacon, bring to a simmer
  7. Pour the bean mixture into a 13”x9”baking dish and bake about 1 hour, until bubbly and the sauce has thickened
  8. Let stand to thicken slightly
  9. Serve and enjoy!
